Robyn on the Farm's Buttery Yeast Rolls Recipe
- 1Ā c milk
- 1/2 c butter, melted
- 1/4 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 c flour (bread or all purpose)
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 2 tsp active dry yeast (in well)
-
Put ingredients in bread maker bread pan and set to dough cycle (about 1.5 hours). Turn out, shape into 15 rolls, and place in 12" cast iron pan. Let rise about 45 mins covered with sprayed plastic wrap. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil and allow to bake 5 more minutes. Get them out and admire how beautiful your rolls look!
To Make Using a Stand Mixer:Ā Measure water, honey, and yeast intoĀ the mixing bowl, followed by the butter, flour, and salt, and let kneadĀ in stand mixer for 6-8 minutes (I use speed 2). Add additional flour ifĀ needed until not sticking to the sides of the mixing bowl. After it hasĀ kneaded, cover bowl with a warm wet tea towel and let dough rise forĀ about 45 minutes. Punch down and shape into 15 rolls. Place into aĀ well-oiled 12-inch cast iron skillet (or any baking dish) and cover with oiled plastic wrap. Let dough rise about 45 minutes to an hour or untilĀ risen. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes, then lightly cover with foil to keep from over browning for 5 additional minutes. Brush with butter while hot.
