I Made These Buns in 26 Minutes! 30 Minute Homemade Hamburger Buns (No Rise!)

These homemade hamburger buns are ready in less than 30 minutes! Soft, fluffy, buttery, and perfectly pillowy, they’re ideal for burgers, sandwiches, sloppy joes, BBQ, and more. No rise time needed—just mix, shape, and bake for fresh, bakery-style buns in no time. Once you try these, you may never go back to store-bought buns again.

30 Minute Homemade Hamburger Buns (No Rise!)

1 c lukewarm water (240 g)

2 tsp sugar (8 g)

2 Tbs instant yeast (18 g)

1/4 c melted butter (57 g)

1 egg (50 g)

3-3 ½ c all-purpose or bread flour (360-420 g)

1 tsp salt (6 g)

 Directions

Add the ingredients to the bowl of a stand mixer in the order listed. Using the dough hook, mix and knead on speed 2 for 5 minutes until a soft dough forms.

Immediately turn the dough out onto a clean surface and divide into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a smooth bun and place onto a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet.

While your oven is pre-heating to 425 degrees F (220 C), brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, Everything Bagel seasoning, or any topping you like.

Bake at 425°F (220 C) for 10–12 minutes, or until the buns are beautifully golden brown.
