Stop throwing away your sourdough discard! Make these sourdough discard crackers! With just TWO ingredients — sourdough discard and butter — you can make the crispiest, most addictive crackers you’ve ever had. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for beginner bakers or anyone who loves a simple, homemade snack. These crackers are: buttery & crisp, ready in minutes, the perfect healthy, clean snack!
2-Ingredient Sourdough Discard Crackers
Ingredients:
1 cup sourdough starter or discard (225 grams)
¼ cup melted butter (4 Tbs or ½ stick) (55 grams)
Optional Seasonings: Everything Bagel, Sea Salt, Italian Herbs, Garlic Salt, Rosemary, Sage, etc.
Instructions:
Measure sourdough starter or discard and melted butter into a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined. Pour onto a well-greased or lined cookie or baking sheet. Spread thinly with an offset spatula. The thinner you can spread the mixture, the crispier and crunchier your crackers will be! Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove and cut/score into cracker shapes and sizes using a bench scrape or sharp knife. Continue baking in the oven for an additional 20-25 minutes, depending on the thickness of your crackers. Let cool a bit, break into crackers, and enjoy!
