Easy Sweet Quick Bread Recipe | Perfect Base for Mix-Ins like Fruit, Nuts & Chocolate
This sweet quick bread is soft, moist, and incredibly easy to make — no yeast or mixer required! It’s the perfect base for all your favorite mix-ins: berries, nuts, chocolate chips, spices, and more. Sweet Bread Quick Bread
Ingredients: (Makes 1 loaf)
2 cups all-purpose flour (240 g)
1 cup sugar (200 g)
1 Tbs baking powder (15 g)
1⁄2 tsp salt (3 g)
1 egg (50 g)
1 cup milk (240 g)
1/3 cup oil (70 g)
1 tsp vanilla extract (5 g)
Instructions:
Simply measure all dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl, and whisk by hand until combined. Add the rest of the ingredients, and mix until well incorporated. Pour and spread into an 8.5x4.5-inch loaf pan that has been oiled or lined. Bake in pre-
heated 350-degree oven for 40 minutes. To make mini loaves (approximately 5x3), bake for 22-25 minutes, or until toothpick test shows they are done. Can add different extracts and mix-ins such as fresh fruit, dried fruit, nuts, chocolates, crushed candy bars, etc. Great for neighbor gifts and holiday treats!
