Perfect 1-Pound Bread Machine White Bread
Soft, simple, and foolproof — perfect for everyday sandwiches or toast.
This small 1-pound loaf is just the right size for smaller households and makes a light, tender bread with minimal effort.
Ingredients
· ½ cup (120 g) water
· ¼ cup (60 g) milk
· 1 tablespoon (12 g) sugar or honey
· 2 tablespoons (28 g) oil or melted butter
· 2 cups (240 g) bread flour or all-purpose flour
· ¾ teaspoon (4 g) salt
· 1 teaspoon (3 g) instant yeast or active dry yeast
Instructions
1. Add ingredients to the bread machine pan
Add the ingredients to your bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. (Usually: liquids first, then dry ingredients, and yeast last.)
2. Select the cycle
Choose the Basic White or Regular bread setting.
Set the machine for a 1-pound loaf and select a light crust if available.
3. Start the machine
Close the lid and start the cycle. The bread machine will mix, knead, rise, and bake automatically.
4. Cool the bread
When the baking cycle is complete, carefully remove the loaf from the pan. Let it cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
