Ingredients:
1 1/8 c lukewarm water
3 Tbs melted butter or oil
2 Tbs honey
1 ½ tsp yeast (active dry or instant)
3 c bread flour (start with 5 and add ¼ to ½ c more until your dough isn’t sticking)
2 Tbs dry milk powder
1 ½ tsp salt
Instructions:
Add ingredients in order listed to mixer or bowl. Knead on speed 2 (medium low) for 6-8 minutes (or hand knead for 10 mins). Cover with a warm, wet tea towel and let rise until expanded, about 45 minutes. Punch down and shape into a loaf. Place in well-oiled bread pan let rise until dough peaks over the edge of the loaf pan, about 20-30 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes in a pre-heated 350-degree oven. Turn out of the loaf pan immediately, brush top with butter, cover with tea towel or place on cooling rack. For best crumb and texture, let cool before slicing.
