Easy & Quick Cheese & Garlic Drop Biscuits
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (240 g)
- 3 tsp baking powder (12 g)
- 1/2 tsp salt (3 g)
- 1 c buttermilk (240 g)
- ¼ c mayonnaise (60 g)
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 1 c shredded cheese (113 g)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Add flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder to a mixing bowl, and whisk to distribute. Add butter milk, mayo, and shredded cheese. Stir until combined. Don’t overmix.
- Divide batter equally into a well-greased 6-well muffin pan (or 12 well pan for smaller drop biscuits. You can also use a cookie sheet.)
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden. (if making smaller, bake 12-15 minutes)
Self-Rising Flour Substitute:
Replace the 2 cups all-purpose flour (240 g), 3 tsp baking powder (12 g), 1/2 tsp salt (3 g) with 2 cups of self-rising flour (240 g).
To use Fresh Milled Soft White Wheat:
- 2 cup fresh milled soft white wheat flour (240 g)
- 3 tsp baking powder (12 g)
- 1/2 tsp salt (3 g)
Buttermilk Substitute:
1 c milk + 1 tsp white vinegar or lemon juice
