Need an easy homemade dessert? This easy apple crisp with canned apple pie filling comes together in just minutes! No peeling or slicing apples—just a few simple ingredients and a buttery, crispy topping. It’s warm, cozy, delicious, and perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Easy Apple Crisp
180 g (1 ½ cups) all-purpose flour or fresh milled soft white wheat
135 g (1 ½ cups) old-fashioned rolled oats
220 g (1 cup) packed brown sugar
3 g (1 tsp) ground cinnamon
1.5 g (1/4 tsp) salt
170 g (3/4 cup) melted butter
2 40 oz cans apple pie filling
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C)
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt until well combined.
3. Pour melted butter over mixture and stir to coat.
4. Spread the canned apples into a baking dish or cast-iron skillet. This can be an 8x8, 9x9, a 9” to 10” skillet, or pie plate.
5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crisp topping is golden brown.
6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
