Bread Machine Recipe Using ALL PURPOSE FLOUR & Dough Setting Cycle

Bread Machine Recipe Using ALL PURPOSE FLOUR & Dough Setting Cycle

This is an easy Bread Machine Recipe that uses all-purpose flour instead of bread flour to make a loaf of white yeast bread in the bread machine. I use the bread maker machine to completely make one loaf of bread, and use the bread machine dough cycle to make another so you can see the differences between the 2 ways and decide how you'd prefer to make your bread. Let your bread machine work for you! I love using the bread machine, sometimes to let it do all the work for me, and sometimes to simply make my dough. Both ways are fantastic, and the bread does turn out a bit different, so it is good to experiment just like I did in this video to decide how you like your homemade bread best. This is honestly a tried, tested, and true favorite bread machine recipe and it's so easy!

Robyn on the Farm's Easy Bread Machine White Bread using All Purpose Flour

2 lb loaf (this is the size I made):

1 cup warm water

1/4 cup melted butter

1/3 cup milk (or 2 TBS powered milk +1/3 cup water)

3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

3 Tbsp sugar

1.5 tsp salt

1.5 tsp yeast

For a 1 lb loaf: 1/2 cup warm water

2 Tbsp melted butter

2 Tbsp milk (or 1 Tbsp powdered milk + 2 Tbsp water)

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 Tbsp sugar

3/4 tsp salt

3/4 tsp yeast

For a 1.5 lb loaf:

3/4 cup warm water

3 Tbsp melted butter

1/4 cup milk (or 1 1/2 Tbsp powdered milk + 1/4 cup water)

2 5/8 cups all-purpose flour

2 Tbsp sugar

1 1/8 tsp salt

1 1/8 tsp yeast

Bread Machine Instructions: Place the ingredients into your bread loaf pan in the order listed (wet before dry in a bread machine). Choose basic loaf, and press start (I use light crust). After a few minutes, be sure your ball of dough isn't sticking to the sides or bottom of the loaf pan. If it isn't coming together into a nice ball of dough, add 1/8 c more flour until it does. Or, if it looks crumble and not smooth, add about 1 Tbsp of water or milk until it looks smooth, like mine. Close the lid and your loaf of bread will be ready in about 3 hours! Remove immediately from bread machine pan for best results (can get a bit soggy). Brush with butter and cover to cool. Cut after completely cooled for best crumb and crumble. (But I always cut hot because I can't resist!) ENJOY your homemade loaf of white bread!

Bread Machine Dough Cycle Instructions: Place all of the ingredients in the pan exactly the same way. Choose "dough" or "dough cycle" on your bread machine and press start. Be sure to check your ball of dough after about 3-5 minutes. If it isn't coming together into a nice ball of dough, add 1/8 c more flour until it does. Or, if it looks crumble and not smooth, add about 1 Tbsp of water or milk until it looks smooth, like mine. In 1.5 hours the dough cycle will end and it will be ready to shape into a loaf. Shape into a loaf and place in well greased or oiled bread loaf pan. Let rise on countertop for about 30 minutes or until it has risen over the edge of the bread pan. Place into preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from bread pan immediately, brush will butter, and cover to let cool. Cut after completely cooled for best crumb and crumble. (But I always cut hot because I can't resist!) ENJOY!
