Bread Machine Pound Cake

Bread Machine Pound Cake

This rich, buttery pound cake is soft, moist, and surprisingly easy to make right in your bread machine. No need for extra bowls or mixers — just add your ingredients, press start, and enjoy a perfectly baked homemade cake!


Ingredients

1 lb Pound Cake

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 Tbsp milk (45 g)

  • 6 Tbsp melted butter (85 g)

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (9 g)

  • 2/3 cup sugar (133 g)

  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (160 g)

  • 2 tsp baking powder (8 g)


1.5 lb Pound Cake (the size I make in my 1.5-2 lb capacity machine)

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1/3 cup milk (80 g)

  • 1/2 cup melted butter (1 stick / 113 g)

  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract (13 g)

  • 1 cup sugar (200 g)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (240 g)

  • 3 tsp baking powder (12 g)


2 lb Pound Cake

    • 4 large eggs

    • 1/2 cup milk (120 g)

    • 3/4 cup melted butter (170 g)

    • 1 1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract (20 g)

    • 1 1/3 cups sugar (266 g)

    • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour (320 g)

    • 4 tsp baking powder (16 g)


Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to your bread machine pan in the order listed.

  2. Select the Cake or Quick Bread setting (depending on your machine-my cake setting takes 2 hours). If your bread machine does not have a cake cycle, use the Bake Only function for about 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  3. Once baked, remove the pan from the machine and let the cake cool for 10 minutes before carefully removing it from the pan.

  4. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing. Enjoy with fresh strawberries, fresh peaches, whipped cream, etc for a real treat!
