Banana Cinnamon Raisin Bread (Bread Machine Recipe)
🥖 1.5 lb Loaf (size I made on YouTube)
-
7/8 cup (210 g) warm milk
-
2 Tbsp (42 g) brown sugar or honey
-
2 Tbsp (28 g) melted butter
-
1/2 cup (120 g) mashed banana (about 1 medium banana)
-
3 cups (360 g) bread flour (450 g fresh milled flour, see note below)
-
1 tsp (6 g) salt
-
1 1/2 tsp (4.5 g) active dry yeast
-
Mix-ins (add at signal):
→ 3/4 cup (110 g) raisins
→ Tossed in 1 1/2 Tbsp ground cinnamon before adding
Bread Machine Method:
-
Add ingredients (except raisins/cinnamon) to bread machine in the order listed.
-
Select the Basic White or Sweet Bread cycle (about 3 hours).
-
When the mix-in beep sounds, add the cinnamon-coated raisins.
-
Check the dough after 5–10 minutes — it should be smooth, soft, and slightly tacky. Adjust with a teaspoon of milk or flour if needed.
-
When finished, remove loaf and cool completely before slicing.
Dough Cycle Method:
-
Add ingredients (except mix-ins) and choose Dough Cycle (about 1.5 hours).
-
Add the cinnamon-raisin mix near the end of kneading.
-
When done, punch down, shape, and place in a greased loaf pan.
-
Let rise 20–30 minutes, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
-
Cool on a rack before slicing.

I am looking forward to trying this recipe. We received some over ripened bananas, sparking my husband to ask for banana bread in the bread machine (I recently purchased a Zojirushi bread machine, per your suggestion, and am practicing with it. Now, I can honestly say I have a new recipe to try. Your recipes have all continually turn out delicious! I’ll post about any recipes I try. Thank you for great recipes & products. Sue Wallace
