Applesauce Quick Bread | Easy Fall Recipe (Moist & Delicious!)

Bake the perfect Applesauce Quick Bread—moist, soft, and full of cozy fall flavor! This easy recipe can be made with one loaf or doubled for two loaves, and it’s perfect for sharing or gifting. Made with simple pantry ingredients this bread is a family favorite and a perfect fall treat! 

🍎 Applesauce Quick Bread

One Loaf (8.5 x 4.5-inch pan)

  • 2 large eggs (100 g)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (100 g)
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar (50 g)
  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened applesauce (360 g)
  • ½ cup melted butter (113 g)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5 g)
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (180 g)
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda (7 g)
  • ¼ tsp salt (1.5 g)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (2.5 g)
  • ½–1 cup chopped walnuts, pecans, or raisins (60–120 g), optional

Two Loaves (two 8.5 x 4.5-inch pans)

  • 4 large eggs (200 g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar (100 g)
  • 3 cups unsweetened applesauce (720 g)
  • 1 cup melted butter (226 g)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (10 g)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (360 g)
  • 3 tsp baking soda (14 g)
  • ½ tsp salt (3 g)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon (5 g)
  • 1–2 cups chopped walnuts, pecans, or raisins (120–240 g), optional

Instructions

1.  Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line your loaf pan(s).

2.  In a large mixing bowl (or stand mixer), beat eggs and both sugars together for 1–2 minutes until creamy.

3.  Add applesauce, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

4.  In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

5.  Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

6.  Fold in nuts or raisins, if using.

7.  Pour batter into prepared loaf pan(s).

o   For 1 loaf (8.5x4.5 in): Bake 55–60 minutes.

o   For mini loaves (5x3 in): Bake ~30 minutes.

o   For 2 loaves: Bake both pans side by side for 55–60 minutes.

8.  Test doneness with a toothpick—inserted in the center, it should come out clean.

9.  Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
