3-Ingredient Cheesy Bread
250 g self-rising flour (2 cups)
320 g whole milk (1⅓ cups) *lower fat milks and nut milks can also be used
170 g shredded cheese (1½ cups)
Self-Rising Flour Substitute:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (240 g)
- 3 tsp baking powder (12 g)
- 1/2 tsp salt (3 g)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the self-rising flour and milk until well combined. It should be a batter consistency.
3. Fold in the cheese.
4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
5. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes before turning out from the loaf pan.
Note: Different brands of self-rising flours can absorb the milk differently due to protein content and result in different consistencies in your batter.
