Robyn on the Farm's 1 Hour Honey Wheat Bread Recipe

1-Hour Honey Wheat Bread Instructions:   • 1-Hour Honey Wheat Bread 🍯🌾🍞 Quick & ...

Ingredients:

  • 3 c hot water
  • 1/3 c honey or 1/2 c sugar (stir to dissolve)
  • 1/3 c oil or butter
  • 6 1/2-7 c whole wheat flour, or any combination (I used 5 c whole wheat flour, 2 c bread flour)
  • 1 Tbs vital wheat gluten
  • 1 Tbs dough enhancer
  • 1 Tbs salt
  • 1 Tbs yeast (active dry or instant)

Step by Step Instructions:

  • Put all of the ingredients into a bowl in the order listed. Mix with an electric stand mixer for 8 minutes on speed 2 (medium low). Your dough should not stick to the sides/bottom of the bowl. If it is, add 1/4 c more flour until it pulls away from sides and bottom easily. You want to be able to handle the dough at the end of the kneading process without it sticking to your hands. It should be tacky but not sticky. Shape into 2 loaves and place into well oiled bread loaf pans. Heat oven to 350 for 1-2 minutes then turn off oven! Put loaves into warm oven and let rise for 20 minutes. Remove loaf pans and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Let bake for 30 minutes. Let cool before cutting...if you can wait! Enjoy! See the Youtube baking tutorial for more in-depth instructions.
