Gooey Butter Cake

This is my grandma's recipe for Gooey Butter Cake. She was from St. Louis, Missouri, where this recipe originated, and I have many childhood memories of making this with her. It is still my favorite dessert of all time! This is a fantastic dessert to take to potlucks, dinners, holidays, and get togethers. Everyone will ask you for the recipe! It uses a boxed cake mix and other pantry staples. Try it, you and your family might make it a part of your family traditions, too!
