No kneading, no mixer—just simple ingredients you mix in a bowl, pour into a loaf pan, and bake! In just 1 1/2 hours, you’ll have a fresh, warm, nutritious loaf made from scratch with freshly milled flour (FMF), free from preservatives and perfect for a snack or any meal. 

Fresh Milled Flour Batter Bread

Ingredients:
• 480 grams wheat berries/480 g fresh milled flour or 2 2/3 c wheat
berries/4 c fresh milled flour
• 2 tsp yeast (instant or active dry) 7g
• 2 Tbs sugar 25g or 1 Tbs honey 20g
• 1 heaping tsp salt 7g
• 1 egg
• 1⁄4 c milk, cream, or milk alternative 60g
• 2 c warm water 480g

Instructions:
Measure ingredients into a large mixing bowl and stir until combined. Cover and let sit for 30 minutes at room temperature. Pour into a well-greased loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees. Let sit in loaf pan for 5-10 minutes before turning out . If stuck in the loaf pan, use a knife to release the edged. This is a hearty, rustic loaf that is best served with butter, preserves, honey, and for open-faced egg/chicken/tuna salad sandwiches. Enjoy!
