3-Ingredient Homemade Flour Tortillas

These are the softest and most delicious homemade flour tortillas and they are made with only 3 ingredients! This easy tortilla recipe is perfect for tacos, wraps, quesadillas, or enjoying with your favorite dips. No need for store-bought tortillas anymore! Made with flour, salt, and butter, these tortillas are quick to make and so much tastier than anything you can buy in the store. If you’ve never made homemade flour tortillas before, this simple recipe will become your go-to for all your Mexican-inspired meals! With just 3 ingredients and a few easy steps, you’ll have fresh, soft tortillas ready in no time! Once you try these, you’ll never go back to store-bought tortillas again!

Ingredients:

½ c (1 stick) melted butter

1 c warm water

3 c all-purpose flour

1 ½ tsp salt

Instructions:

Add ingredients in order listed to mixer or bowl. Knead on speed 2 (medium low) for 5-6 minutes (or hand knead for 10 mins). Cover with a warm, wet tea towel and let rest for 30 minutes. Divide dough into 16 pieces to make 8-inch tortillas, or into 10 pieces to make 10-inch tortillas. Roll out into circles using a rolling pin or tortilla press. Heat a well-oiled cast iron griddle or skillet to medium heat. Let tortillas bake for 45 seconds to 1 minute, then flip, let bake another 45 seconds to 1 minute, then flip again until it rises. Place in a covered container to prevent your tortillas from hardening. Enjoy these easy homemade tortillas for tacos, quesadillas, or by themselves!
